SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICY OF JALAL-ABAD STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER B. OSMONOV

The Policy has been developed taking into account the main global principles, requirements, and provisions in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of the UN Global Compact. 

The goal of the University in the field of sustainable development is to integrate the principles of sustainable development into all aspects of educational, scientific, and economic activities to train competitive specialists who contribute to the prosperity of Kyrgyzstan and the entire Eurasian region.

The objectives of the University are:

    •   integration of sustainable development principles into educational programs and research;

    •   training personnel with competencies in the "green" economy and sustainable development;

    •   reducing the negative impact on the environment;

    •  ensuring gender equality, inclusiveness, and equal access to education;

    •   increasing management transparency and implementing anti-corruption mechanisms.

The University is guided by the following principles:

    •   Environmental responsibility;

    •   Social justice and inclusiveness;

    •   Openness and transparency;

    •   Zero tolerance for corruption.

The University supports the principles of the UN Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

POLICY ON SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT OF JALAL-ABAD STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER B. OSMONOV

This Sustainable Procurement Policy of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov has been developed with the aim of integrating the principles of sustainable development into the University’s procurement activities, ensuring the rational and efficient use of financial resources, minimizing negative environmental impact, and promoting the social and economic development of the region.

POLICY IN THE FIELD SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT OF JALAL-ABAD STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER B. OSMONOV

  The Policy defines the key principles and approaches of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov to the management of financial resources, including endowment funds, special funds, and grants, taking into account environmental, social, and governance factors (ESG criteria), and is aimed at ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the university while simultaneously contributing to the socio-economic development of the Jalal-Abad region and preserving the natural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.  

POLICY ON EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION (EDI) OF JASU

  POLICY OBJECTIVE To ensure equal rights and opportunities for all participants in the educational process, to foster an inclusive, safe, and non-discriminatory educational environment that enables the full participation of students and staff in academic, research, and social activities of the university, as well as to promote social responsibility, gender equality, and sustainable values in line with ESG principles and the requirements of QS World University Rankings: Sustainability.  

ANTI-BRIBERY AND ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY

This Policy establishes a system of measures for the prevention, detection, and suppression of corruption-related offenses within the University.The document has been developed in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, international anti-corruption management standards, as well as the principles of academic integrity and transparency in governance.
