Medical Unit

The medical unit was established in 2013 on the basis of Order No. 247 of the Rector of Jalal - Abad State University. The main purpose of the medical unit is to provide high-quality primary medical care to the university staff and students. The medical unit is located in the main building of the university. It is equipped with the necessary tools and medicines required for first aid. The medical unit conducts activities related to its field (seminars, conferences, lectures, meetings, campaigns, etc.).

Duties of the medical unit:

• Complies with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and fulfills the requirements of this regulation;
• Provides high-quality medical care on the territory of the university (in academic buildings, dormitories, during events, etc.), using the listed medicines;
• In accordance with the laws and regulatory documents in the field of healthcare, organizes and carries out disease prevention, health promotion, and annual medical examinations of staff and students;

The main goal of the medical unit is to promote a healthy lifestyle among university staff and students, encourage health improvement, and organize diagnostic and rehabilitation activities;

Provides medical consultations to university staff and students and refers patients to city clinics and hospitals;

Carries out medical monitoring of staff and students with disabilities and chronic illnesses;

Monitors and inspects the sanitary and hygienic conditions of university dormitories and dining facilities (dormitory canteens, university food services, etc.).

In its work, the medical unit closely cooperates with university departments (departments, institutes, faculties, colleges, the chancellery, the HR department) and other organizations in the medical sector.
