Sustainable Development Committee

The Sustainable Development Committee of JALAL-ABAD STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER B. OSMONOV is a coordinating body that ensures the implementation of sustainable development principles across all areas of the university’s activities. The Committee formulates strategy, develops initiatives, and oversees the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mission of the Committee:

To foster a responsible academic environment oriented toward a sustainable future, promoting environmental awareness, social responsibility, and principles of good governance.

Key Objectives:

  • Integrating sustainable development principles into educational programs and research activities;
  • Implementing the university’s environmental policy and advancing a “green campus” initiative;
  • Coordinating projects and events aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals;
  • Preparing reports and participating in national and international sustainability rankings;
  • Developing partnerships with organizations and communities on sustainable development issues;

The Committee actively engages students, faculty, and staff in initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability and building an environmentally responsible campus.
