Faculty Members of the Department of Russian Philology at JASU Participated in the Scientific and Practical Forum "Russian Language Day at KRSU"
On June 3, 2026, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in Bishkek hosted the scientific and practical event "Russian Language Day at KRSU." The forum brought together leading scientists, lecturers, methodologists, and specialists in the field of Russian studies from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Central Asian countries.
Acting Associate Professors of the Department of Russian Philology at the B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University (JASU)—A.A. Kalmurzaeva, A.A. Zhusupova, and D.T. Ayylchieva—participated in the forum.
Within the framework of the event, thematic sections dedicated to topical issues in the development of Russian studies were organized: "Modern Methods of Teaching the Russian Language," "The State and Challenges of the Russian Language Teaching System in Higher Education Institutions of Kyrgyzstan," and "The Role of the Russian Language in Interethnic Dialogue in Kyrgyzstan." The participants discussed modern trends in language education, challenges of teaching the Russian language in the region, as well as prospects for strengthening intercultural and interethnic interaction.
The forum was attended by prominent scholars and specialists, including: Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor O.I. Aleksandrova; Director of the Russian Language Institute at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) named after Patrice Lumumba, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor N.V. Pomortseva; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor S.V. Krasilnikova; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor T.V. Guseinova; Head of the Laboratory of Methodological Support and Professional Development at the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, T.A. Matokhina; as well as leading scientists of Kyrgyzstan M.Dzh. Tagaev, K.Z. Zulpukarov, U.Dzh. Kambaralieva, and other representatives of the scientific and pedagogical community.
The honored guests of the opening ceremony included the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic, A.K. Koichiev; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic, S.I. Vakunov; Secretary General of the International Organization for the Russian Language, N.A. Bocharova; and Chairman of the National Commission for the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, M.K. Murataliev.
The participation of the faculty members of the Department of Russian Philology at JASU in this event contributed to the exchange of scientific and pedagogical experience, the expansion of professional networks, and the discussion of current trends in the development of philological education within the modern educational space.
