Workplace-Based Learning: Integrating Theory and Practice in the Study of 20th-Century Russian Literature

On April 23, 2026, at Secondary School No. 4 in Manas, Associate Professor D.T. Ayylchieva conducted a workplace-based learning session in the discipline “20th-Century Russian Literature” for students of group RYAL-1-22. The practical class was devoted to the topic “The Intelligentsia and the Revolution and its Artistic Interpretation in B. Pasternak’s novel Doctor Zhivago.”

During the session, students examined the особенностей of the author’s position, analyzed the fate of the intelligentsia during a turning-point era, and identified the key philosophical and moral issues of the work. Special attention was paid to the development of analytical skills, the formation of critical thinking, and the ability to interpret literary texts within the context of historical and cultural processes.

The practice-oriented format of the lesson contributed to the active engagement of students in the educational process, enabled them to apply theoretical knowledge in a real pedagogical environment, and enhanced the professional training level of future teachers of Russian language and literature.
