Patriotic Event Dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and Afghan War Veterans Day

On February 23, Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 37th anniversary of the end of the war in Afghanistan, the students of group RYALk-2-24 organized and held a thematic event on their own. The preparation and organization of the event were guided by the group curator, Alimamatova D.A., who directed the students’ work, provided valuable advice, and offered methodological support at all stages of program preparation.

The event was aimed at fostering patriotic values, respect for the country’s history, and preserving the memory of the courage and heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland. The students prepared an informative presentation, thematic reports, songs, and dance performances, which added a special festive and emotional atmosphere to the meeting. The creative performances created a sense of unity, respect, and pride for the defenders of the Motherland.

The program also included thematic games and competitions: “Sharp Shooter,” “Arm Wrestling,” “Guess the Song,” and “Guess the Epaulettes,” which helped bring participants together and created a friendly, warm atmosphere.

A particular highlight was the “Arm Wrestling” contest, in which fourth-year student Panarbek uulu Zhanarbek demonstrated outstanding strength, spirit, and confidence, earning sincere applause from the audience.

The “Guess the Epaulettes” contest was especially memorable: PhD Alymkulov A.A. showcased brilliant knowledge and correctly identified all military ranks, winning the genuine admiration of the audience.

During the event, students also congratulated the only male faculty member of the Department of Russian Philology — Associate Professor Alymkulov A.A., as well as the male staff of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Linguistics, expressing gratitude, respect, and wishes for good health, well-being, and continued professional success.

The event became an important part of educational work, contributing to strengthening spiritual and moral values, developing patriotic consciousness, and fostering respectful attitudes toward the defenders of the Fatherland.
