Educational Hour in Group РЯЛ-1-25 on the Prevention of Bullying and Suicide

Within the framework of the annual work plan aimed at the effective implementation of measures to prevent domestic violence, juvenile delinquency, and suicide, an educational hour was held in group RYaL-1-25 on February 10, 2026. The event was devoted to the urgent issues of bullying and suicidal behavior among adolescents and youth and was held under the theme: “Bullying and Suicide: Prevention, Recognition, and Support.”

The students prepared an informative presentation with statistical data, explained the meanings of the terms “bullying” and “suicide,” and discussed the causes of these problems as well as possible ways of prevention. During the event, thematic video clips were used, and a video created by the students themselves was also presented, which aroused great interest and active discussion.

The event opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Institute of Philology, Asylbekova Ch.A., who emphasized the importance of preventive work, fostering a culture of mutual respect, and developing a responsible attitude toward one’s own life in the student community.

The purpose of the educational hour was to form a responsible attitude toward life among students, to develop tolerance, the ability to support one another, and to recognize warning signs in the behavior of others in a timely manner.

The honored guests of the event were the Head of the English Language Department Zholdoshbaeva Y.K., the Head of the Russian Philology Department Zhusupova A.A., as well as the faculty members of the department.

At the end of the event, Zholdoshbaeva Y.K., Suleimanova T.A., and the group curator Aiylchieva D.T. shared their impressions, emphasizing the relevance of the topic and the high level of students’ preparation.

The conducted educational hour contributed to increasing students’ awareness of bullying and suicide issues and strengthening preventive work in the student environment.
