Historical memory will save us from mankurtism

On November 4, 2025, the Department of Russian Philology of the B. Osmonov JAGU  hosted a curatorial hour under the guidance of Associate Professor D.T. Ayilchieva on the topic "Historical memory will save us from mankurtism", dedicated to the celebration of the Day of History and Memory of Ancestors. The event was attended by the director of the Institute of Philology, Asylbekova Ch.A., the faculty of the Department of Russian Philology, as well as students of groups FMB(I)-1-25, YK-3-25 and RLL-1-23.

As part of the program, students of the RYAL-1-25 group presented a presentation on the topic "The role and place of outstanding personalities in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 19th century", during which they discussed the contribution of Ormon Khan, Alymbek-datka and Baitik-baatyr to the formation and development of Kyrgyz statehood.

In addition, the participants prepared a thematic quiz, performed the song "Kurmanbek dastany" and the Kyrgyz folk dance "Ulu Koch".
