Internet Crimes and Their Types, Impact on Society

Based on Letter No. 600 of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic dated June 23, 2026, on April 28, DSp-1-24 Group Curator B.U. Moldobaeva held a curatorial hour on the topic of "Internet Crimes and Their Types, Impact on Society." During the hour, information was presented on internet crimes and their types: fishing (fraudulently obtaining passwords or bank card information), hacker attacks (system disruption), cyberbullying (bullying or threats via the internet), viruses (programs that damage computers), and online fraud. As a result of these phenomena, people can suffer material losses, psychological harm, and the loss of personal data. This also reduces public trust in the internet. Therefore, everyone should exercise caution when using the Internet and follow safety rules. Students were reminded to use strong passwords, avoid clicking suspicious links, not share personal information with others, and use antivirus software. In conclusion, the Internet offers tremendous opportunities, but each of us is responsible for using it correctly and safely.
