February 21 – A Round Table Dedicated to the International Mother Language Day

On February 24, 2026, the NT-1-25 group of the Institute of Philology held a round table discussion entitled “The Role of the German Language in Kyrgyzstan” dedicated to the International Mother Language Day. The event was organized by Senior Lecturer N.K. Bekieva.

The main purpose of the event was to discuss the importance of world languages in today’s context and their future development prospects, as well as to broadly explain to students the necessity of learning other foreign languages.  During the round table, students expressed their views on the role of the German language in education, scientific cooperation, and international collaboration. In addition, there was an in-depth discussion about the advantages of knowing several languages in the context of globalization, new opportunities available for young people, and the impact of language learning on future professional growth.    The event increased students’ interest in languages and once again confirmed the importance of learning foreign languages while respecting the mother tongue. The round table was informative and meaningful for all participants.
