“Weihnachten – New Year”

On December 23, the staff of the Department of German Language and Interfaculty Foreign Languages of the Philological Institute of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov, together with students, celebrated the traditional German holiday “Weihnachten – New Year.”

The Director of the Philological Institute, PhD in Philology Ch. A. Asylbekova, delivered a welcoming speech, wished success to the event, and expressed her best wishes.

During this academic club event, students gained in-depth knowledge about the history of the “Weihnachten – New Year” celebration, as well as German national customs, traditions, and cultural characteristics. The students recited proverbs in German, performed national songs, and presented literary readings. In addition, entertaining games and activities were organized, creating a joyful festive atmosphere for the audience.

This celebration provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of German culture, increase their interest in learning the language, and strengthen their knowledge through practical application.
