“Main Paradigms and Methodology of Modern Linguistic Studies” – Guest Lecture

On December 12, 2025, an online scientific, practical, and methodological seminar entitled “Digitalization and Modern Teaching Tools” was organized by the Department of German Language and Interfaculty Foreign Languages of the Philological Institute of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov.                                                                                                         The seminar was opened with warm welcoming remarks by the Director of the Philological Institute, Candidate of Philological Sciences Ch.A. Asylbekova.The guest lecture on the topic “Main Paradigms and Methodology of Modern Linguistic Studies” was delivered by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor A.G. Bizhkenova from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The lecture addressed the methods, principles, and theoretical foundations used in scientific linguistic research. Methodology helps to understand the structure, usage, and development of language. Modern linguistics applies various approaches ranging from grammar to psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics, teaching students to study language in a systematic and scientifically grounded manner. The guest lecture was conducted via the Google Meet platform. During the lecture, participants actively asked questions and received valuable information. The event was attended by the faculty members of the Philological Institute and the College of Foreign Languages.                                      In conclusion, all participants expressed their gratitude to Professor A.G. Bizhkenova for her profound and informative presentation. It was emphasized that the event was held at a high level and was of great importance in providing broad opportunities for the exchange of scientific and practical experience.
