A new licensing commission arrived at the department of intercultural communication and linguistics.

On June 9, 2026, a licensing commission from Osh arrived at the department of intercultural communication and linguistics to open specialty 530900 "Oriental studies (Oriental languages and diplomacy (Japanese)" within the higher professional education program. The commission includes:

Chairperson:

Koylubaeva Burulcha Kozhonovna – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of American Studies and Translation Studies, Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, Osh State University.

Asanakhunova Zarina Mamatovna – Japanese language instructor, Regional Studies Program (Japanese), Higher School of International Educational Programs, Osh State University;

Rasulova Bekzaada Rasulovna – Japanese language instructor, NEXUS College.

They visited the department to review its academic, methodological, and material resources, as well as staffing capacity.

The program aims to:

provide in-depth instruction in the Japanese language and culture;

expand international cooperation;

train professional translators, teachers, and international specialists;

promote academic mobility and partnerships with foreign institutions.
