An open class on intercultural communication was held

On March 10, 2026, an open class on the topic “Intercultural communication and intercultural conflicts” was held at the department of intercultural communication and linguistics. The class was conducted by doctor of philological sciences, professor M. M. Mirzakhidova.

Students of the Lak-1-23 group participated in the class. During the lesson, the main features of intercultural communication, cultural differences, and the diversity of communication styles and their influence on mutual understanding between representatives of different cultures were discussed.

Special attention was given to the concept of intercultural conflicts, the reasons for their emergence, as well as the role of stereotypes and preconceived opinions in communication. Possible ways of preventing and effectively resolving intercultural conflicts were also considered.

The class was conducted in an interactive format. The students actively participated in discussions, expressed their opinions, and analyzed various situations of intercultural interaction. Such activities contribute to expanding students’ knowledge and developing their professional competencies in the field of intercultural communication.
