CYBER FRAUD PREVENTION IS SAFE LIVING

A.D.Kerimberdieva, curator of the FLc-2-23 group at the Department of English Language and Literature at the Institute of Philology, held a mentoring session for students on cyber fraud.

The mentoring session on cyber fraud proved to be very important and useful for the students. The main goal of the event was to explain the rules of safe behavior online and teach them how to protect themselves from cyberthreats.

During the mentoring session, detailed information was provided on types of cyber fraud. Specifically, fishing, personal information theft, social media fraud, malware, and cyberbullying were discussed. Students were given practical tips on how to prevent such threats, such as not clicking unknown links, not sharing personal information, and using strong passwords. The importance of civilized communication online, respect for other users, and compliance with the law were also emphasized. The event was interactive, with students actively participating, sharing their thoughts and asking questions. Real-life examples were used during the discussion, making the topic even more understandable. As a result, this educational hour significantly contributed to expanding students' knowledge of cybersecurity. Students understood that using the internet safely and correctly is everyone's responsibility. Similar events should be continued in the future, as cybersecurity is crucial for everyone in today's world.
