ONLINE CRIME – A SAFE INTERNET IS IN YOUR HANDS

      At the Institute of Philology, Department of English Language and Literature, a curatorial educational hour was held for  the students of group FLc-3-23 on the topic “Types of Online Fraud,Fraudulent Schemes on Social Media and Ways to Protect Yourself from Them”. The curator of the group is Zhoroeva G.A.

    The main purpose of the educational hour was to inform students about the most common types of fraud in the Internet space, teach them how to recognize fraudulent schemes on social media, and explain ways to protect themselves from such threats.

     During the event, students received information about various types of online fraud, including fake accounts, suspicious links, false lotteries, and the illegal use of personal data. Recommendations were also given on careful use of social networks, protecting personal information, and following online safety rules.

      Students actively participated in the discussion, prepared video presentations, and shared their opinions on the topic. Such educational activities help increase the level of digital literacy among young people and encourage them to be more cautious in the online environment.
