DEMO LESSONS WERE HELD AS PART OF PROFESSIONAL BASIC PRACTICE

     Mamanova Madina and Yrysbaeva Kurmanzhan, students of group FLc-3-23, English language and literature department, conducted an open lesson on the topic "Prepositions of place" for the 8th grade and "My day" for the 5th grade at secondary school No.5 in Manas town. A.D. Kerimberdieva and N.A. Tashieva, the supervisors of practice of the Department of English language and literature, took part in the demo lessons. The main purpose of demo lessons was to develop students' speaking, listening and reading skills in English, as well as to improve their speech and vocabulary using new words.

     In the course of the lessons, students-interns explained new topics with the help of technical means. In addition, there were used game elements at the lessons. With the help of such games as "Find the object" and "Where is it? » students determined the location of objects and described them in English. This method made the lesson interesting and increased student activity. At the end of the lesson was made a brief review, and the students completed small tasks to check their knowledge. As a result, the students learned the topic “Prepositions of place” well and were able to make sentences correctly.

     The purpose of the demo lesson on the theme "My Day" was to teach students to describe everyday activities in English, use new words and develop conversational skills. The teacher explained the words that denote daily activities with the help of the presentation: wake up, brush teeth, have breakfast, go to school, do homework, play with friends, go to sleep, etc. d. The students used these words in sentences and told about their daily schedule. Interactive games and creative tasks were used in the lesson. Some students showed their daily schedule with the help of pictures and described it in English. This contributed to the development of language activity and freedom of expression.

    At the end of the lesson, there was a review, and students consolidated their knowledge on today's topic. As a result, they learned accurately and correctly describe their schedule in English on the topic "My Day".
