ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE DEPARTMENT TEACHERS PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL ONLINE COURSE

           Teachers of English language and literature department of the Philological institute and the college of Foreign languages, Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov participated in a massive open online course (MOOC) conducted via the zoom platform from October 21 to December 25, 2025, with the aim of enhancing their professional qualifications. The course lecturer was Dora Bernal, a specialist in International Education and International Business Management from United States. Within the framework of the program, participants gained comprehensive knowledge of modern methods of teaching English, the cultural component in language education, and effective ways of organizing the teaching and learning process. During each session, practical tasks were assigned  to the teachers, which were carried out in groups through the preparation and discussion of presentations. In addition, similarities and differences between the national holidays of the United States of America and the Kyrgyz republic were comparatively studied and widely discussed. At the end of the course, participants will be awarded certificates, as noted by the course organizer and coordinator of the American Center, Manas Muzraliev.
