CHINGIZ AITMATOV AND UNIVERSAL HUMANISM

Students from the group FLc-2-23 of the English Language and Literature Department at the Institute of Philology held an event dedicated to the birthday of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov. The event included a slide show about the biography and works of the great writer, excerpts from his literary works, and his witty sayings.

Chingiz Aitmatov is a writer of international renown, whose work has extended far beyond the confines of national literature. At the center of his works is always the individual—their destiny, inner struggle, moral choice, and responsibility to society and future generations.

Aitmatov demonstrates that the loss of humanistic ideals leads to tragedies, both personal and societal. His characters often face difficult moral choices, and it is this choice that defines their human essence.

Thanks to the depth of his philosophical thought and humanistic focus, Chingiz Aitmatov's work has become part of global culture, uniting people of different nations around the shared values of humanity, compassion, and responsibility.
