“MANAS” LIVES IN OUR HEARTS, “AITMATOV” LIVES IN OUR MINDS

Lecturers of the Department of English Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology of the Scientific-Educational Production Complex of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov, N.A. Zhumabekova and Nyshanbay kyzy Baiyma, organized a curator event dedicated to December 4 — the Day of the “Manas” Epic, and December 12 — the birthday of the prominent writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. The theme of the event was “Manas lives in our hearts, Aitmatov lives in our minds.”

During the literary event, students of groups ChT-1-24 and ChT-1-25 presented dramatized scenes from the “Manas” epic and the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov in English.

The purpose of the event was to provide students with a broad understanding of the values, culture, and uniqueness of the Kyrgyz people as reflected in the “Manas” epic and in the literary legacy of Chyngyz Aitmatov. The students displayed their creative works and discussed the global significance of Kyrgyz literature.

This event became an important step in the educational development of our university students, encouraging them to deeply respect national values and strengthen their appreciation for the culture of their homeland.
