INTEGRATING AITMATOV’S LITERARY WORKS INTO ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING: BRIDGING LANGUAGE AND IDENTITY

On December 2, 2025, the Department of English Language and Literature at the Institute of Philology hosted a scientific-practical conference titled “Integrating Aitmatov’s literary works into English Language Learning: Bridging Language and Identity”.

The main aim of the event was to explore effective strategies for incorporating Chyngyz Aitmatov’s literary works into English language education while addressing issues of cultural identity and language integration. Participants discussed the linguistic and cultural features of Aitmatov’s texts, their role in fostering critical thinking, and the contribution of literature to shaping students’ national identity in a multilingual learning environment.

The conference brought together university faculty, MA students, and undergraduates who delivered presentations, engaged in academic dialogue, and exchanged ideas on how literature can enrich language learning through meaningful cultural content.
