CULTURAL EVENT “TRIBUTE TO A GREAT LEGACY”

On December 2, 2025, curator N.Arslanbekova and the students of the group Cht-1-23 of the Department of English Language and Literature at the Institute of Philology held a literary and cultural event titled “Tribute to a Great Legacy”, honoring the life and works of the great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.

The main purpose of the event was to pay homage to Aitmatov as an outstanding literary figure and thinker, to promote his creative heritage among young people, enrich their spiritual world, and foster interest in literature and multilingual education. During the evening, students performed literary readings, short dramatizations, and multimedia presentations based on Aitmatov’s works in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English. The event also included discussions on the humanistic and philosophical themes in his writing, as well as musical tributes dedicated to his legacy.

The evening brought together teachers, students, and guests, creating a respectful and creative atmosphere. It became a memorable occasion that emphasized the enduring significance of Aitmatov’s literary contributions.
