William Shakespeare’s tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”

Under the guidance of Associate Professor G.A. Orozbaeva from the Department of English Language and Literature, and with the participation of her group FLc-2-22, a theatrical language performance dedicated to the works of the great playwright William Shakespeare was successfully staged. The performance was accompanied by a multimedia presentation, and the audience was presented with selected scenes from Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare Days offer a valuable opportunity for students and theatre enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of Shakespearean drama, explore its influence on literature and the arts, and take part in interactive cultural events. These activities are traditionally conducted in English, which also helps enhance language proficiency. This event was not merely an introduction to classical literature, but also an immersion in an atmosphere of creativity, inspiration, and English-language communication. Held in anticipation of William Shakespeare’s birthday, the literary celebration aimed to create a festive mood and expand the cultural horizons of students. It provided a meaningful opportunity for them to apply their English language skills in practice. The performance and accompanying activities held significant educational, cultural, and developmental value, becoming a memorable highlight in the life of the faculty.
