AN EVENT WAS HELD ON PREVENTING ADVERSE SITUATIONS AND PROTECTION FROM DANGEROUS HAZARDS

An awareness-raising event on preventing emergency situations, avoiding adverse circumstances, and taking protective measures was held with the participation of the faculty and students of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling at the E. Umetov Pedagogical Institute of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov.The main objective of the event was to enhance safety awareness among students and teachers, promote the prevention of natural disasters, and develop skills for prompt and correct response during hazardous situations.During the event, a comprehensive presentation entitled "Natural Emergency Situations (Natural Disasters)" was presented using visual slides and instructional materials. The presentation covered the following key hazards, their consequences, and preventive measures:1. Mudflows and Floods: Issues regarding increased mudflow risks in mountainous areas during the spring-summer period, keeping riverbeds clean, and observing safety rules in mudflow-prone areas;2. Landslides and Rockfalls: Identifying early signs of landslides in settlements located on mountain slopes and timely evacuation to safe areas;3. Earthquakes: Safety behavior rules inside buildings and outdoors during seismic activity;4. Snow Avalanches: Exercising caution regarding avalanche risks on mountain roads and passes;5. Rising Water Levels and Outbursts of High-Altitude Lakes: Risks resulting from glacier melting and their monitoring.At the end of the event, a Q&A session took place between the faculty and students. Students received detailed answers to their questions and emphasized the great responsibility of every citizen in preventing natural disasters.
