1. History of the Department
The Department of Higher Mathematics was established in August 1993. Until 2012, the Head of the Department was Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Bolotbaev Karimbek Bolotbaevich.
In 2000, the department was renamed the Department of Algebra and Analysis. Since 2010, the department has again been called the Department of Higher Mathematics.
From 2012 to 2016, the position of Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics was held by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Avanova Zhyldyz Avanovna.
Based on Order No. 250 of the Rector of Jalal-Abad State University dated May 19, 2015, the department was renamed the Department of Higher Mathematics and Technologies of Teaching Mathematics.
In May 2016, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Narbaev Mirsadyk Rakhimberdievich was appointed Head of the Department.
From November 2019 to September 2020, the position of Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Technologies of Teaching Mathematics was held by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Murzabaeva Aitbü Busurmankulovna.
Since September 2020, the Head of the Department was Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Uraimkhalilova Ashirkhon.
Since September 2023, based on an order of the Rector of Jalal-Abad State University, the department was renamed the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Djuraev Abubakir Mukhtarovich was appointed Acting Head of the Department.
Since September 1, 2024, Beknazarova Mahabat Kudaiberdievna, Senior Lecturer, has been appointed Head of the Department and is currently leading the department.
2. Educational Activities
At present, the Department of Higher Mathematics and Technologies of Teaching Mathematics provides training for graduates in the field 550200 – Physical and Mathematical Education, profile Mathematics, at the bachelor’s and master’s degree levels.
Taking into account the interests of parents, employers, and other stakeholders, for the field 550200 – Physical and Mathematical Education, profile Mathematics, a Basic Educational Program (BEP) with clearly defined educational goals and explicitly stated expected learning outcomes, as well as a Graduate Model, has been developed.
