FIRST STEPS OF FUTURE MATHEMATICS TEACHERS: PRACTICE RESULTS SUMMARIZED

On May 13, 2026, a significant event took place at the Pedagogical Institute named after E. Umetov, which is part of the Scientific and Educational Production Complex of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov. Students of group FMЕ(M)-1-24 defended the results of their introductory pedagogical practice during a final conference. The conference was organized at a high professional level by the practice supervisor, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor M. N. Nurmatova. The event was attended by the Chief Specialist of the Career Development and Industrial Practice Department, Nuria Zholdoshalieva, the faculty members of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, and students. In order to consolidate theoretical knowledge through practical experience, the students were distributed across eight base schools (five schools in Manas city and three schools in Suzak district): Secondary School No. 19 named after I. Satybaev, Secondary School No. 18 “Manas-1000”, Secondary School No. 4, Secondary School No. 9 named after R. Sanatbaev, the Innovative School of JASU, Secondary School No. 54 named after Ysmayyl, Secondary School No. 21 named after S. Eshmatov, and Secondary School No. 32 named after A. Zhaparbajev. To provide a detailed overview of their activities during the practice period, the students prepared specialized presentations for each school. During their presentations, the future specialists delivered in-depth reports based on the provided “road map” in the following areas: • Familiarization with the administrative structure, school charter, and State Educational Standards (SES); • Organization of extracurricular activities and interaction with parent committees and social educators; • Analysis of students’ personal records and implementation of pedagogical and psychological observations; • Use of digital technologies (photo and video reports) reflecting the course of the practice. Summing up the results, Chief Specialist Nuria S. Zholdoshalieva highly evaluated the professional development of the trainees. In her speech, she highlighted 17 significant achievements, emphasizing their confident use of digital technologies and competent handling of regulatory documentation. Alongside the successes, certain shortcomings were also noted, and valuable recommendations were provided for further improvement of professional skills. The students accepted the constructive feedback with understanding and expressed their readiness to take these remarks into account in their future teaching practice. Participants of the conference gave a positive evaluation of the students’ level of preparation, noting that the practice had achieved its objectives. Based on the results of the defense, the work of group FMЕ(M)-1-24 was recognized as successfully completed.
