CAREER GUIDANCE AS A KEY TO QUALITY EDUCATION AND A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE
The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling of the Scientific-Educational Production Complex “Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov” continues to actively work on guiding school graduates toward making the right career choice and strengthening cooperation between the university and schools. On March 12, 2026, the faculty members of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling met with the graduating students of Secondary School No. 18 “Manas-1000” in the city of Manas. This event became a logical continuation of the motivational seminar previously held at the department’s partner school and aimed to assist students in their professional orientation. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department, Senior Lecturer M. Beknazarova, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor A. Uraimkhalilova, Senior Lecturer M.Sh. Matkarimova, and PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Senior Lecturer M.N. Nurmatova. During the event, work was carried out in the following areas: Comprehensive information was provided about the features of the academic program 550200 “Physics and Mathematics Education”, its role in modern education, and the wide opportunities available to graduates. Participants were informed about the significant achievements of the department’s graduates, including recipients of the Presidential Scholarship and those with international experience; informational booklets were also distributed. Students were introduced to the official websites of the university and the department, as well as their social media pages, and their questions were answered. This meeting, held after the motivational seminar, further increased students’ interest in Jalal-Abad State University and the field of mathematics. We believe that learning about the personal achievements of university students, along with the comprehensive information provided by the experienced teaching staff, strengthened the graduates’ confidence in choosing the right profession and in their future educational path.
