A GUIDING LANDMARK FOR THE FUTURE: A MEETING WITH SCHOOL GRADUATES
Active career guidance work continues at Жалал-Абадский государственный университет имени Б. Осмонова, part of the scientific, educational and production complex. The faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling at the Pedagogical Institute named after E. Umetov regularly organizes outreach visits to regional schools, helping graduating students make informed decisions about their future professions.
On February 25, 2026, Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, M. N. Nurmatova visited Secondary School No. 12 named after “Kaparbek” in the village of Abdraimov, Bazar-Korgon district. The meeting with 11th-grade students went beyond a standard informational session and became a truly motivational dialogue.
During the event, the following topics were presented:
- A detailed explanation of the prospects, distinctive features, and advantages of studying in the field 550200 “Physics and Mathematics Education” (profile: Mathematics).
- The relevance and demand for the profession were demonstrated through examples of the achievements of the program’s graduates; specially prepared informational booklets were distributed to the students.
- Students were introduced to the official website of the department and its social media pages, allowing them to take a virtual tour of university life.
It is especially noteworthy that the meeting was organized with the support of fourth-year student Nurpeiyil Zhanyshova, who is currently completing her professional teaching internship at this school. Observing how a future specialist is already successfully teaching mathematics in their classrooms inspired students to consider this career path more seriously.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students received comprehensive answers to their questions and valuable advice on choosing their career paths.
