The Department of Academic Policy
The Department of Academic Policy was established by the decision of the Academic Council of JASU No. 10 dated on June 30, 2025. By order of the rector of JASU named after B.Osmonov No. 258.06.30.2025, Turdubaeva Barisa Mailyevna с.p.s., associate professor was appointed as the Director of the Department of Academic Policy.
The department includes:
- Educational department;
- Department of licensing, accreditation and quality of education;
- Career Development and Internship Organization Department;
- Testing Center;
- Special and Mobilization Work Department;
- Improvement of Methodological Work.
1. Improvement of Methodological Work
The Department of Academic Policy's Area of Activity
Main areas of work to improve the quality of teaching and learning for teaching staff
1. Improving methodological work
Goal: To enhance the pedagogical and methodological level of teaching staff.
Activities:
- Conduct regular methodological seminars, trainings, and workshops on modern teaching technologies.
- Establish an internal School of Pedagogical Excellence or Academic Development Center.
- Develop and implement methodological guidelines for the design of educational programs, competencies, and assessment tools.
- Conduct internal reviews of educational and methodological materials.
- Organize peer classroom visits followed by analysis and exchange of experience.
2. Implementation of Innovative Teaching Technologies
Goal: To make the learning process modern, interactive, and student-centered.
Activities:
- Train faculty in digital educational tools (LMS Moodle, Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.).
- Implement active learning methods: case study, project-based, problem-based, blended learning, and flipped classroom.
- Develop e-learning courses, video lessons, and digital educational resources.
- Encourage instructors who apply innovative approaches through awards, grants, and rankings.
3. Internal Quality Assurance System
Goal: To ensure transparent assessment and objective analysis of teaching quality.
Activities:
- Introducing regular internal audits of teaching quality (mutual visits, student surveys, expert commissions).
- Developing a rating system for assessing the effectiveness of faculty (taking into account teaching quality, teaching methods, publications, and innovations).
- Conducting internal monitoring of educational programs and making adjustments based on the results.
- Establishment of an Education Quality Council within the department.
4. Professional Development and Capacity Building
Goal: Continuous professional growth of teaching staff. Activities:
- Develop individual professional development plans.
- Organize internal and external professional development courses (including online).
- Involve external experts and practitioners in faculty training.

5. Work with Curricula and Programs
