October 1 – International Day of Older Persons

     In 1990, the United Nations General Assembly officially declared October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons to draw global attention to the issues and needs of the elderly.

     On this occasion, A. Kalmurzaeva, a lecturer at the Economics and Law College of B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University, organized a charity event. With the support of their parents, students of groups Fk-3-23 and Fk-4-24 visited a resident of Jalal-Abad city, respected grandmother M. Bakirova, inquired about her well-being, and provided assistance.

The main purpose of celebrating this day is to highlight the importance of elderly people in society, raise awareness of their challenges, and show them care and support.
