Financial Literacy – The Key to Success

At the Economics and Law College of B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University, a guest lecture was held in honor of an important international event — *Global Money Week*. The event was attended by the college director A.B. Karbekova, faculty members of the Economics Department, and second-year students.

     This significant lecture was organized by the microcredit company *OXSUS*, which is successfully operating in the financial sector. The main goal of the lecture was to enhance the financial literacy of young people and introduce them to the culture of managing personal finances.

Specialists from *OXSUS* presented the students with the following key topics:

- The history of money and its modern-day significance;

- Principles of saving and investing wisely;

- Credit products and their features;

- Deposit accounts and interest systems;

- Financial responsibility among youth and making money-related decisions in everyday life.

       The experts engaged with the students in an open dialogue format and provided detailed answers to their questions. Students were particularly interested in topics such as the accessibility of microloans, financial services for youth, and ways to save for future entrepreneurial activities.

       During the event, students were introduced to practical examples and learned how to manage money rationally in real-life situations. At the end of the lecture, motivational advice was given, and steps toward achieving financial freedom were outlined.

It was noted that such events make a significant contribution to increasing students' knowledge and help bridge the gap between theory and practice.

       By participating in such an important event, the students of the Economics and Law College strengthened their financial knowledge and were guided toward making informed and responsible financial decisions in the future.
