Job Fair Held at the College of Economics and Law

A Job Fair was organized at the College of Economics and Law of Jalal-Abad State University (JASU) to support the employment of graduates. The main objective of the event was to establish direct connections between graduates and employers, facilitate the successful integration of young specialists into the labor market, and help meet the workforce needs of organizations and enterprises.

During the fair, employers introduced their organizations, presented available job vacancies, and conducted interviews with graduates. The event provided an excellent opportunity for young professionals to explore their career prospects, while employers were able to identify talented and qualified candidates.

The event was attended by B.M. Turdubaeva, Head of the Academic Policy Department of JASU and Associate Professor, PhD; Zh.B. Shamiev, Head of the Career Development and Internship Organization Department; A.K. Askarova, Professor and Director of the Institute of Economics and Law; as well as representatives of various organizations and enterprises and graduating students. Among the participating organizations were the Manas City Department of Internal Affairs, the Manas Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Jalal-Abad Regional Department of Justice, Eldik Bank, Eco Islamic Bank, Kompanion Bank, Oxus Microcredit Company, Bailyk Finance MCC, and other institutions.

During the event, B.M. Turdubaeva emphasized the important role of such job fairs in graduate employment and noted that the success of graduates in the labor market has become one of the key indicators used to evaluate higher education institutions. She also highlighted that the Graduate Performance Index (GPI) is measured through graduate employment rates, professional growth, and employer evaluations, and that close cooperation between educational institutions and employers is a crucial factor in improving this indicator.

During the discussions, employers not only presented available vacancies but also shared recommendations on the skills and competencies students should develop during their internships. The fair served as an effective platform for direct interaction between employers and graduates, providing opportunities for interviews and résumé submissions. As a result, the event opened new career opportunities for young specialists. At the conclusion of the fair, letters of appreciation were presented to partner organizations on behalf of the college. A significant contribution to the successful organization of the event was made by N.A. Aiylchieva, Career and Internship Coordinator of the College of Economics and Law, who coordinated the fair and facilitated cooperation with employers. The event became a valuable platform for graduates and contributed to their successful transition into professional employment.
