Conducting a Biology Lesson Through Workplace-Based Learning

M.J. Asanova, a biology teacher of the General Education Cycle Commission at the College of Economics and Law, conducted a biology lesson with the SS-3-25 group in connection with the library. Unlike traditional classroom teaching, the lesson was organized in a lively practice-oriented format.

Purpose of the lesson:To increase students’ interest in biology, combine theoretical knowledge with practical activities, and develop environmental awareness through observing nature. Another objective was to improve students’ research skills by using library information resources, as well as to develop independent thinking and practical skills through workplace-based learning methods.

During the lesson, students were able to strengthen their theoretical knowledge of biology through practical activities. Tasks related to the library helped develop students’ skills in searching for and analyzing information. The interactive learning format increased students’ participation in the lesson and contributed to the development of ecological culture and a caring attitude toward nature.
