A Practical Lesson at the American Corner – A New Opportunity for Students

On May 19, the students of group TMс-2-25 majoring in Tourism at the College of Economics and Law visited the American Corner and attended an English language class as part of the workplace-based learning program. The lesson was conducted by foreign language teacher N. Aiylchieva.

The main purpose of the lesson was to develop students’ practical English skills, familiarize them with the activities of a modern educational center, and encourage independent learning and research.

During the lesson, the students received detailed information about the American Corner’s library, reading halls, and educational opportunities. They also worked with English-language books and improved their reading skills. According to the curriculum, theoretical and practical tasks on a grammar topic were completed, and the students learned to use new vocabulary by making sentences.

The practical lesson was especially interesting and useful for the students. They gained a deeper understanding of the importance of speaking a foreign language fluently, constructing correct sentences, and working with books. Such lessons greatly contribute to the professional training of future tourism specialists and help them build connections with world culture.
