Mentorship as the Foundation of Professional Development and Pedagogical Excellence

In the 2025–2026 academic year, in accordance with JASU’s “Regulations on Mentorship,” N. Aiylchieva, a foreign language teacher at the College of Economics and Law, was appointed as a mentor to N. Kochkorova, a foreign language teacher of the General Education Cycle Commission. This initiative was organized to support the professional growth of the young teacher, enrich her pedagogical experience, and assist in mastering modern teaching methods.

As part of the mentorship activities, N. Aiylchieva shared her experience in effective foreign language teaching methods and provided valuable guidance on the use of interactive teaching approaches. Special attention was given to developing students’ speaking skills through dialogues, role-playing activities, group work, and the use of digital technologies. These recommendations became a significant support for the young teacher.

In addition, methodological assistance was provided on writing scientific and pedagogical articles, selecting research topics, analyzing materials, and meeting academic requirements. Experience was also exchanged on proper lesson planning, effective communication with students, and the application of modern assessment methods.

Such mentorship relationships contribute to the development of the young teacher’s creative potential and improve the quality of her pedagogical work. Moreover, they strengthen professional support in the field of education and enhance cooperation between experienced and young teachers.
