In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): organization of on-the-job training

During the educational and familiarization practice at the Economics and Law College, the SCC of the Social Work, and according to the on-the-job training plan, lecturer of the SCC of the Social Work, Moldomirov Erlan Taalaibekovich, conducted a session for 2nd-year students at the Manas City Department of Labor, Social Security, and Migration. The session was held on the topic “Methods of counseling in social work.” During the training, issues related to individual and group counseling were thoroughly discussed.

The aim of this training was to introduce students to counseling methods in social work, teach them how to organize and conduct individual and group consultations, develop communication skills when working with clients, and form professional competencies by combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

As a result, students gained a deeper understanding of the counseling process in social work and practically mastered methods of conducting individual and group consultations. They also developed basic skills in effective client communication, identifying client needs, and providing social support, which increased their readiness for future professional practice.
