Work-Based Learning: An Effective Step in Training Financial Specialists

Within the framework of implementing an educational policy aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the scientific, educational, and industrial complex of Jalal-Abad State University named after Bekmamat Osmonov actively applies modern approaches aimed at improving the quality of education. One of the key areas is the system of work-based learning.

As part of this initiative, the heads of the “Finance (by sectors)” specialty of the Economics Department of the College of Economics and Law, E. Kadyrova and A. Kalmurzayeva, organized a work-based learning event at the “Bailyk-Finance” microcredit company located in the city of Manas.

During the event, the director of the Jalal-Abad branch of “Bailyk-Finance” microcredit company, Dilshodjon Azimjanovich Isakjanov, held an open dialogue with students and shared his professional experience. He delivered an informative lecture on the topic “Study of Customer Service Processes, Contract Formation, and Settlement Procedures,” thoroughly explaining key aspects of practical activities in the financial sector.

In particular, students were clearly introduced to the main stages of working with clients: client reception, needs assessment, professional consulting, and quality service delivery. Information was also provided on the main types of contracts used in financial institutions, their legal significance, and the procedures for drafting them. In addition, detailed explanations were given regarding financial documents used in settlement processes and the specifics of document management.

Such forms of work-based learning not only help strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge but also contribute to the development of analytical thinking, the formation of professional competencies, and the enhancement of their competitiveness in the labor market.
