Work-Based Learning: Practical Mastery of Banking Security Systems

 At Jalal-Abad State University named after Bekmamat Osmonov, the Work-Based Learning system is being successfully implemented within the scientific, educational, and industrial complex to enhance the quality of education. This modern approach integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience, effectively preparing students for their future professional careers.  As part of this initiative, instructors of the Economics Department (specialty “Finance (by sectors)”) E. Kadyrova and A. Kalmurzayeva organized a work-based learning session for students at the “Eldik Bank” branch in the city of Manas. The practical session was conducted in a real working environment, enabling students to gain firsthand experience of daily banking operations.

         During the event, the Director of the Jalal-Abad branch of OJSC “Eldik Bank,” Temirbek Ibraimov, met with the students and shared his extensive professional experience. He delivered a detailed presentation on the topic “Procedures for Identifying and Recording Suspicious Transactions,” clearly explaining key aspects of ensuring security in the banking system.

Particular attention was paid to the following issues:

- procedures for identifying, monitoring, and recording suspicious transactions;

- mechanisms for continuous monitoring of banking operations;

- procedures for timely and accurate transmission of information to relevant departments.

The information was presented in a clear and accessible manner, supported by practical examples. This enabled students to better understand critical banking processes and adapt to real workplace conditions.

          Such activities play a significant role in developing students’ analytical thinking and professional competencies. Work-Based Learning serves as an effective bridge between education and industry, laying a solid foundation for the successful careers of future specialists.
