Work-Based Learning: Students Explore the Banking Sector

At Jalal-Abad State University named after Bekmamat Osmonov, the Work-Based Learning system is being successfully implemented within the scientific, educational, and industrial complex to enhance the quality of education. This approach integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills and increases students’ interest in their future professions.

As part of this initiative, instructors of the Economics Department (specialty “Finance (by sectors)”) E. Kadyrova and A. Kalmurzayeva organized a practical session for students at the “Bai-Tushum” Bank branch in the city of Manas.

       During the event, the Chief Loan Manager, Nurmanbek Kurmanbekovich Alimbekov, shared his professional experience and delivered a presentation on the topic “The Process of Interbank Transfers.”

The session covered the following key aspects:

- main stages of interbank transfer processes;

- movement and processing of payment documents;

- security and control requirements in banking operations.

       The information was delivered in a clear and accessible manner, allowing students to gain firsthand insight into real workplace practices. Such practical sessions play a significant role in developing professional competencies and preparing students for the labor market.

Work-Based Learning serves as an effective bridge between education and industry, laying a strong foundation for students’ future successful careers.
