International Mother Language Day Celebrated at the College of Economics and Law

On February 21st, the College of Economics and Law hosted a cultural event titled "Language is a Bridge of Friendship" to commemorate International Mother Language Day. The event was organized by A.K. Kurmanbekova, Deputy Director for State Language, Social and Educational Affairs.

The ceremony was opened by A.A. Tashmatova, a representative of the college administration. In her speech, she emphasized the vital role of the mother tongue in personal development and the importance of the state language for the nation's future.

Event Highlights:

  • Cultural Unity: The program featured traditional Kyrgyz instrumental music (kyu) and diverse folk dances from various ethnic groups, celebrating global friendship.
  • Poetry Recitation: Students performed heartfelt recitations of poems dedicated to the beauty of their native language.
  • Values: The event focused on fostering patriotism, tolerance, and respect for all cultures.

"Language is the soul and history of a nation. Our mission is to pass this heritage on to the younger generation," concluded A.K. Kurmanbekova.
