«Workplace Training: Accounting for Fixed Assets and Depreciation»

The instructors of the Economics Department of the Economics and Law College, A.Zh. Aidarbekova and Akylbek kyzy Venera, together with their students, visited the Jalal-Abad Regional Clinical Hospital for workplace-based training. The hospital’s economist-accountant, N.Zh. Tokomatova, provided the students with brief but important information on the classification, valuation, and depreciation methods of fixed assets.

She explained in detail the classification of fixed assets (production and non-production), their valuation methods (initial cost, replacement cost, residual value), and depreciation methods (straight-line, declining balance, and production method).

A.Zh. Aidarbekova stated: “The purpose of today’s workplace training is to combine theory with practice and observe the accounting process in real conditions. I encourage you to ask questions and deepen your knowledge.”

Akylbek kyzy Venera added: “Managing fixed assets and understanding depreciation are essential concepts for every economist. Today’s practice gives you a valuable opportunity to become familiar with the real workflow.”

The workplace-based training strengthened the students’ theoretical knowledge and allowed them to better understand the process of accounting for fixed assets and depreciation through practical examples.
