Collaboration between the Subject-Cycle Comission of “Social Work” of the College of Economics and Law and Employers

The lecturers of the Subject-Cycle Comission of “Social Work” of the College of Economics and Law held a meeting with employers aimed at strengthening cooperation and improving the quality of educational programs.

The meeting took place at the Manas City Social Fund Office and the Manas City Department of Labour, Social Protection, and Migration.

Participants included Nazira Almazbekovna Zhakyppova, Head of the Manas City Department of Labour, Social Protection, and Migration; E. Shamieva, Head of the Manas City Social Fund Office; Nargiza Nadyrbekovna, Head of the Department; Aytbu Anarbay kyzy, Internship Supervisor; Erlan Taalaybekovich, Head of the Methodological Council; as well as other lecturers and internship coordinators.

During the meeting, the main educational programs, internship syllabi, and course work plans were discussed.

Aytbu Anarbay kyzy presented the content of the internship, noting that updates and additions had been made to the programs based on the feedback and suggestions from on-site internship supervisors. The roadmap, student activities, and evaluation criteria were also reviewed.

Erlan Taalaybekovich discussed the elective subjects to be introduced in the 2025–2026 academic year, proposing to include “Social Gerontology” and “Social Work with Youth” in the curriculum.

E. Shamieva, Head of the Manas City Social Fund Office, also shared her recommendations for improving the internship syllabus.

The discussions were aimed at enhancing the quality of educational programs, developing students’ practical skills, and strengthening their professional competencies.
