Meeting with Students on Preventing Corruption and Undesirable Situations

A crucial meeting was held for students of the College of Economics and Law (CEL) focusing on anti-corruption efforts and the prevention of various undesirable situations.

Organizers and Objectives of the Meeting

The meeting was organized by A. Kurmanbekova, Deputy Director of CEL for State Language, Social, and Educational Affairs. The main objective of the event was to enhance the legal literacy of students, train them to stand against corruption in society, and create a safe learning environment. The head of each group (starostas) and group activists participated in this session.

During the meeting, the Director of CEL, A. Tashmatova, delivered a speech and elaborated extensively on the issues of preventing corruption and undesirable situations.

·         Combating Corruption: The Director noted that corruption is one of the main problems hindering the development of society and called upon students to uphold academic integrity and obey the law. The consequences of corruption, including its personal and societal harms, were explained.

·         Preventing Undesirable Situations: Furthermore, important information was provided on how to prevent and properly react to potential undesirable situations that may arise both on campus and in public places (e.g., violence, harmful habits, legal offenses). Students were encouraged to be responsible for their own safety.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing students to receive comprehensive answers to all their questions. Such events make a significant contribution to raising students' awareness and strengthening a clean, transparent environment within the college. The CEL management will continue to support students in their educational and social development.
