                                            Educational and Methodological Work

At present, the department teaches the main disciplines of natural-mathematical and humanitarian-social sciences according to state educational standards in order to train qualified mid-level medical specialists.

These include:

Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics and Informatics, IOPD, Fundamentals of Ecology, Geography of Kyrgyzstan and others.

As part of the university component, several subjects are offered such as “Medicinal Plants of Kyrgyzstan” and “Biotechnology.”

To ensure deep learning of these subjects, lecture materials and laboratory work manuals are being developed at a high scientific and methodological level.

According to the curriculum, standard and working programs and syllabi are prepared and reviewed. For lectures and laboratory classes there are:

2 lecture halls

2 computer classrooms

1 herbarium fund

For field practice, agreements have been concluded with national nature parks and state reserves in southern Kyrgyzstan. Much attention is paid to the use of local materials when studying the disciplines.

Members of the department have fully switched to the modular system of education. In order to improve the quality of education, students take two modules each semester.

Field practice is the main form of studying the subject “Botany.” A sufficient number of hours is allocated for it.

The practice is conducted considering seasonal conditions. Students strengthen their theoretical knowledge and teachers collect research materials.

Agreements have been concluded with Kara-Alma and Arslanbob forestry enterprises to conduct field practice. It is one of the most interesting parts of the Botany course. During the practice students also organize environmental activities such as “Cleanliness Preservation” and “Nature Protection.”

                                Students’ Scientific Research Work (SSRW)

In the department there are student clubs “Young Chemist” and “Botanist.” According to the approved schedule, students work independently with teachers and carry out research activities.
