Visit to the Open Lesson in Grade 5 on the Topic “Noun”

Senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology, Zhamasheva N.S., attended the open lesson conducted by the trainee, Narzullaeva Jairo, in the 5th grade on the topic “Noun: animate and inanimate, proper and common.” The main goal of the lesson was to develop students’ cognitive skills in classifying nouns, to improve their ability to consciously use parts of speech in oral and written communication, as well as to enhance their spelling literacy.

During the lesson, the trainee demonstrated the ability to competently structure the session: clearly identified the goals and objectives, ensured smooth transitions between lesson stages, and used various types of activities appropriate for the age characteristics of 5th-grade students.

In explaining new material, the trainee used accessible explanations, visual examples, tables, and tasks, which contributed to better assimilation of the topic. Special attention was given to working with examples from texts, which allowed students not only to identify the features of nouns but also to understand their function in speech. The trainee applied elements of active learning, including group discussion, pair work, and mini-exercises on word classification. These methods helped maintain a high level of cognitive engagement throughout the lesson.

At the consolidation stage, differentiated tasks were offered, allowing each student to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. This also enabled the teacher to assess the level of comprehension of the studied material. The students showed interest, willingly answered questions, completed tasks, and demonstrated an understanding of the thematic classification of nouns.

The atmosphere during the lesson was friendly, focused, and productive. The trainee displayed confidence, pedagogical tact, and the ability to establish rapport with the class. Her mastery of the material, adherence to the methodology of teaching the Russian language, and use of modern instructional techniques were noted.

Based on the visit, it can be concluded that the trainee successfully fulfilled the objectives of the lesson. The session was conducted at an appropriate methodological and professional level, met educational standards, and contributed to the formation of solid knowledge of the Russian language among students.
