Observation of an Open Lesson within the Framework of Professional and Specialized Teaching Practice

On November 21, 2025, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology, N.S. Zhamasheva, observed an open lesson conducted by trainee teacher Begaim Bakhtiyarova in the 6th grade on the topic “Spelling of Alternating Vowels in the Roots gor-/gar- and kos-/kas-.” During the lesson, the trainee demonstrated solid methodological preparation, clearly formulated the goals and objectives of the lesson, and ensured their consistent implementation.

Begaim Bakhtiyarova effectively used a variety of teaching forms and methods, including whole-class, individual, and group work. She organized a speech warm-up activity, work with orthograms, and incorporated tasks involving classification, analysis, and application of spelling rules in new language contexts. Special attention was given to developing students’ orthographic awareness and understanding the conditions for selecting vowels in alternating roots.

Students actively participated in discussions, completed exercises, and demonstrated their ability to apply the spelling rule of alternating vowels in practice. A positive and supportive learning environment was maintained throughout the lesson, fostering interest in studying the Russian language.

The observation showed that the trainee confidently applies teaching methodology, maintains the pace of the lesson, and effectively manages the learning activities of the class. The open lesson was conducted at a high level and contributed to the development of the trainee’s professional competencies as a future educator.
