On-the-Job Training by PhD in Philology, Associate Professor A.A. Zhusupova at Secondary School No. 4 in the city of Manas

On-the-job training for students majoring in Russian Language and Literature is aimed at applying theoretical knowledge in practice, developing professional skills, and mastering teaching methodologies in real educational settings. This format allows future specialists to become familiar with the requirements of school practice, the specifics of working with students, and the necessary documentation, thereby contributing to their professional development and self-identification.

On November 21, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor A.A. Zhusupova conducted on-the-job training for students of group RYL-1-23 at Secondary School No. 4 in the city of Manas.

A.A. Zhusupova delivered a lesson in the discipline World Literature on the topic “Charles Dickens — a Representative of English Realism,” placing special emphasis on the artistic uniqueness and the socio-cultural context of the writer’s work. During the lesson, the instructor highlighted the features of Dickens’s creative method, explained the historical and cultural background of the era, and examined the social issues reflected in his works.

The students studied the key directions in the development of English realism and analyzed the author’s artistic techniques, such as the creation of vivid characters, the use of satire, and psychological detail. Special attention was given to Dickens’s humanistic ideas, moral values, and social criticism, which form the foundation of his writing and contributed to his influence on world literature.

As part of the lesson, the students completed analytical tasks, worked with texts, and identified thematic and figurative features of Dickens’s works. The discussion took place in an interactive format, allowing the students to gain a deeper understanding of Dickens’s artistic style and his role as a reformer of the social novel.

The conducted session expanded the students’ literary horizons, enhanced their skills in analyzing literary texts, and helped them better grasp the significance of Charles Dickens’s work in 19th-century world literature.

Interactive teaching methods were used throughout the lesson, and the students prepared and presented their own presentations, which increased their engagement and contributed to the development of independent analytical and educational skills.
