“Scientific-Practical and Methodological Seminar on “Digitalization and Modern Teaching Tools”

On December 12–13, 2025, the Department of German Language and Interdisciplinary Foreign Languages of the Philology Institute at B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University organized a scientific-practical and methodological seminar titled “Digitalization and Modern Teaching Tools.”  At the opening of the seminar, the Director of the Philology Institute, PhD, Ch.A. Asylbekova, delivered a speech and extended her best wishes. The seminar was conducted by PhD, Associate Professor Z.K. Mambetova, along with doctoral student and Associate Professor D.S. Toktogaziyev from the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, on the topic “Digitalization and Modern Teaching Tools and Applications.”  During the seminar, it was explained that digitalization is a process of developing the education system through modern information technologies, and that using digital tools and various applications in teaching has become highly important today. Participants were then divided into groups, and the applications used in teaching (such as Google Classroom, PowerPoint, Duolingo, Kahoot, Quizizz, Canva, etc.) were discussed. Through these tools, information can be delivered in a visual and interactive form, which enhances students’ understanding, fosters independent work skills, and ensures effective communication between teachers and students.

The seminar highlighted that these tools enable assignment distribution, checking, assessment, and feedback. Mobile applications also allow learning to continue anytime and anywhere. The main goal is to improve the quality of teaching by effectively integrating digital technologies into the educational process, increase students’ interest in learning, and develop their digital competencies. Moreover, these tools strengthen the interaction between teachers and students and support the development of independent learning, critical thinking, and creative skills.

In conclusion, digitalization and modern teaching tools make education more accessible and effective. They help develop students’ digital competencies and contribute to preparing specialists who meet the requirements of the modern era. The event was attended by the teaching staff of the Philology Institute and the College of Foreign Languages.
