A Seminar-Training on “Fraud Schemes in Social Media and Ways to Protect Against Them” Was Held

A seminar-training on the topic “Fraud Schemes in Social Media and Ways to Protect Against Them” was held at the Department of Automated Control Systems (ASU) of the Agrarian-Technical Institute. The event was attended by the Head of the ASU Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor S.M. Azhykulov, as well as the academic staff and students.

The main purpose of the event was to inform students about common types of online fraud, enhance their knowledge of digital security, and develop skills to counter fraudulent activities.

During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed explanations of the most распространённые fraud schemes in social networks, including fake accounts, phishing techniques, and methods of protecting personal data. Practical examples were also presented to demonstrate how to act in potentially dangerous situations.

At the end of the event, students asked questions of interest and received useful recommendations from the specialists. The seminar-training became an important step in improving students’ digital literacy and promoting safe internet usage.
