On his way to the final, he confidently defeated his opponents and advanced to the decisive bout for the gold medal. In the final, he faced Turkish boxer Semin Kumush, a bronze medalist of the Olympic Games. However, due to an injury sustained during the fight, Kamilov was unable to continue the match. As a result, Zafarbek Kamilov secured second place and was awarded the silver medal.

The ASU Department congratulates the talented student on his outstanding achievement and wishes him further success, new victories, and good health.
